Last Tuesday, may 17th Pereyra hosted the 2022 edition of the Elementary Spelling Bee Contest. Students practiced their memorization and spelling skills in class and a finalist from each classroom was selected. Each of them competed against their grade level classmates to get an ultimate Top Speller per grade level.
After several rounds of spelling correctly 1 word, the competition leveled up and 2, 3, or 4 words were given to students. They had to memorize the list of words and then spell them in a row. Contestants showed great talent and high determination to deliver nothing but the best.
The winners per grade level are:
1st grade: Darío Chavira Rivera
2nd grade: Ana Sofía Gómez González
3rd grade: Victoria Vera Vargas
4th grade: Mariano García Marmolejo
5th grade: Antonio Emiliano Delgado Sierra
6th grade: Ahmed Emmanuel Chávez Chávez
